The Tunisian Ministry of Justice is hosting a conference about the International Criminal Court in cooperation with the Court and the International Organization of Francophone Countries. The event is being held in the capital Tunis.

An official media source reported that this conference will be attended by universal human rights activists and representatives from a number of Arab countries, as well as a number of Tunisian judges and lawyers from legal and human rights bodies. The intention is to equip participants with detailed knowledge of the court's systems and procedures.

In addition, the conference will consider a number of topics related to the phenomenon of impunity and will urge states to ratify the Rome Statute. The areas in which the court can intervene will also be discussed.
