The Council of Rabbis in Israel has written to US President Barak Obama calling on him to "terminate" the Palestinian state, just as America "terminated" Osama bin Laden. Reports on Israel's Channel 7 said on Wednesday that the Council's chief, Ezra Arsel, sent the White House a letter signed by 350 of his colleagues demanding the end of any efforts to establish an independent Palestinian state.

The letter opened by congratulating President Obama for killing Bin Laden. Rabbi Arsel then said that it is time to think about terminating the Palestinian state idea because those who call for establishing a Palestinian state declared that they were in mourning after Bin Laden's death and criticized the US Administration for killing him. Arsel added that Israelis are seeking real peace, not a fake peace which isn't worth the paper it is written on.

The same Council of Rabbis has previously issued a religious ruling that forbids the establishment of a Palestinian state on "the land of Greater Israel" which the Jews have been promised by God. The Council believes that a Palestinian state would put the region in danger, because those who would head such a state "would be terrorists".
