Israeli and American military helicopters fly over German airspace

Israeli press sources have revealed that helicopters belonging to the Israeli and the US air forces have flown over German airspace in what they refer to as "a joint exercise using live ammunition".

According to Haaretz, the exercise took place last week with pilots of the Israeli and American air forces flying over southern Germany. This was the first time that Israeli pilots, flying Apache attack helicopters, had taken part in such exercises over Germany. A similar exercise with the US air force is planned for next summer at the Ramon Airbase in Israel.
