WARSAW, Poland -- A Polish court demanded more documents Monday in the extradition case of an Israeli man suspected of being a Mossad agent involved in the slaying of a Hamas leader in Dubai.

Uri Brodsky is suspected of helping forge a German passport that was used by a member of a hit squad believed to be behind the killing of Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in January.

Brodsky was detained in Poland in June on an arrest warrant issued by Germany, which is seeking his extradition.

An attorney representing Brodsky said a Warsaw district court adjourned after a session that lasted more than two hours. The court said it needed to collect more documents before it could make a ruling, lawyer Anna Mika-Kopec said.

It was not clear if the decision whether to extradite the man would be announced when the session reconvenes Wednesday.

Brodsky entered the court wearing a dark blue rain jacket with a hood pulled over his head. Escorted by anti-terror officers, he covered his face with his hands.
