Netanyahu says direct talks will start mid-August with no settlement freeze

Netanyahu says direct talks will start mid-August with no settlement freezeIsrael’s Prime Minister has told a meeting of his party’s ministers that direct negotiations with the Palestinian Authority will start in mid-August. Benjamin Netanyahu also claimed that his government does intend to commit to the PA's prerequisite for direct talks a full freeze on settlement construction.

The PA's chief negotiator, Saeb Erekat, has made it clear that the Palestinian Authority does not intend to start direct talks with the Israelis before the latter accept all of the Palestinian conditions for such talks to take place. One of the conditions is the need for an agreement on the agenda for the talks to include the status of Jerusalem, the demarcation of the borders and the right of return of Palestinian refugees, as well as the illegal settlements built in the occupied territories of the West Bank and Jerusalem.

"The key to direct negotiations is in the hands of [Prime Minister] Bibi Netanyahu," added Mr. Erekat. "The minute he agrees to stop settlement construction and to have terms of reference for these negotiations around a two-state solution based on the 1967 borders, with agreed land swaps, we will have direct negotiations immediately."

I have studied the horrific crime of Rape of children. When a POWERLESS child has been raped by a brutal POWERFUL unstoppable adult, raped and raped and raped over and over again and violated beyond anyone's reasonable imagination, the answer is NOT for the powerless child to NEGOTIATE with the criminal rapist. The answer is to report it to the police or a child protection organisation.
As a former Israeli Prime Minister once said: “If I were an Arab leader I would never make terms [or NEGOTIATE] with Israel. That is natural: we have taken their country… There has been anti-Semitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault? They only see one thing: WE HAVE COME HERE & STOLEN THEIR COUNTRY. Why should they accept that?”
Most of the main PLAYERS in the charade of "peace talks" appear to be either the Terrorists' Paymasters themselves (USA), their pawns and other bought politicians and mainstream media appeasers.
The 12,000,000 despoiled people of Palestine need unequivocal 100% SUPPORT from international JUSTICE & humanity, the worst thing they could do is to resume the cynical masquerade of "negotiating" with their abusers.
