Yesterday evening (31.08.2010), International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) held a Ramadan soiree in the gardens of the Nablus library where it hosted a gathering of personalities from religious, political and community leaders to institution heads and the media.

The evening included an address from the chairwoman of the Red Cross mission in the northern West Bank, Laetitia Courtois and the Mayor of Nablus as well as the performance of a number of artistic passages that transmitted Palestinian heritage through their dress and content. The story teller who narrates the oldest Palestinian tales, Professor Kahir Bakir also performed and traditional songs were sung by a social club called Small Hands.
