Israeli media sources have reported that Israel's "West Bank most-wanted terrorist list has dwindled to almost nil" for the first time since the outbreak of the Aqsa Intifada in 2000.
 
In its Monday (8.11.2010) issue, Haaretz claimed that the fact that Israel's list of wanted Palestinians is "almost nil" is a "reflection of both the improved security situation in the West Bank and the increasing cooperation between Israeli and Palestinian Authority security forces".
 
It is worth mentioning in this regard that Israeli forces continue to carry out daily arrests across the West Bank detaining Palestinians on the pretext of their being wanted by various Israeli intelligence agencies.
 
Haaretz also reported that lately the PA had "released hundreds of wanted Fatah figures who promised to lay down their weapons and refrain from terror activity against Israel."
