Dozens of Israeli settlers set fire to 200 olive trees on a number agricultural fields and pasture land belonging to Palestinian citizens in the village of Salem, east of Nablus city (the northern occupied West Bank) on Sunday night.

Eye witness reports state that a group of settlers thought to be from the settlement of Alon Morieh, were seen last night setting fire to dozens of fruit trees in a number of Palestinian fields and on plots of grazing land.
 
The sources confirm that the Israeli forces stationed in the area were informed of the incident; however a spokesman for the army denied that any complaint against the settlers in this regard had been received and the incident is being dealt with as "the outbreak of a fire, and not an act of sabotage".
