Tel Aviv claims complicity of Sarkozy, Merkel and Brown in war on Gaza


Israeli Broadcasting AuthorityThe Israel Broadcasting Authority claimed today (Tuesday, 10 November) that several key European leaders support Israel's military campaigns against the Palestinians. The authority disclosed that French President Nicola Sarkozy, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown made a joint visit to Israel and met with former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.

They expressed their total support for the Israeli military campaign against what the broadcaster termed the 'terrorism' in the Gaza Strip and Hamas in particular. The broadcaster further reported that Israeli officials urged the European leaders to oppose the Goldstone report which damages Israel's image internationally and within Europe in particular.
