The Ministry of Health in Gaza has highlighted the dire medical situation in the territory, announcing that hundreds of Palestinians, including children are currently under high risk due to lack of essential medicines and medical facilities.

Currently, more than 367 essential drugs, medical items and specialised treatments for patients with conditions such as haemophilia, kidney malfunctions and other chronic diseases are currently unavailable.

A number of specialist clinics have had to stop essential medical treatment, including the children's surgery, ophthalmology, cardiac catheterization, bone and nerve centres.
