Back Middle East Palestinian human rights network wins international award

Palestinian human rights network wins international award

Palestinian human rights network wins international awardThe French National Consultative Commission of Human Rights chose the Palestinian NGOs Network as a one of five global winners of France's human rights award.

The Mezan Centre for Human Rights welcomed the decision - taken in early November - to select the network that comprises most of the Palestinian NGOs, and it considered this choice to be a tribute to the work of Palestinian NGOs in general and a recognition of the active and influential role being played by these NGOs in exposing Israeli war crimes and their persistent efforts to end the siege of the Gaza Strip.

It added that this award would be an additional incentive for the network to move forward in the defense of civil liberties and human rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
