A day of festivities for the injured children of GazaEXCLUSIVE PICTURES

The Our Country Centre has held a theatre and entertainment event for child war invalids on the grounds of the Al-Jazeera Club in Gaza City. The goal of the festival was to bring and atmosphere of joviality and happiness to Palestinian children who have been seriously wounded or have lost limbs and who continue to suffer.

A number of participants of the Miles of Smiles Convoy 6 attended the festivities where they distributed gifts to the children. The entertainment consisted of artistic performances reviving folkloric Palestinian heritage and which represents the rights of Palestinians in their land and to return to their homes.
 
The wounded children’s spirits were raised by being told that despite their disability and suffering, they would continue to contribute to the liberation of their country would participate alongside the rest of the Palestinian people in the building of their nation. They were also told that they would be able to work in their lives and would go to adapt and integrate back into society.
 
The charity Interpal sponsored the festivities and distributed gifts and some aid to of the children.
