Members of the Eastern Catholic Church began their Christmas celebrations in the Gaza Strip today with traditional prayers in church services. The Protestant community also observed mass in the Dir al Latin church. Reports from Gaza confirm that the ceremonies passed without any untoward trouble or interference, contrary to recent reports in western media sources of harassment and persecution of Christians in Palestine.
