Israeli occupation authorities have confiscated more land belonging to Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. The latest land grab has taken place in the village of Alkahs, to the east of Bethlehem.

The head of the Alkahs village council, Khader Hamdan, told Quds Press that the council "received a notice for the confiscation of 67 acres of the lands of Alkhas village, located behind the racist apartheid wall, adjacent to Bethlehem". The land is owned by the Hamdan family.

According to Mr. Hamdan, the Israelis have been preventing Palestinian villagers from accessing their land since 2007. Requests for special permits for agriculture and farming made by the council have been refused by the Israelis from the same year.
