The Ministry of Royal Palaces in Morocco has announced that the Tunisian President, Mohamed Moncef Marzouki, will visit the kingdom on Wednesday, February 8 until Friday. The president will meet King Mohammed VI and Prime Minister Abdul Ilah Benkirane during his stay.

President Marzouki will then set out on a tour across North West Africa to discuss ways to reactivate the Arab Maghreb Union. Tunisia's presidential spokesman Adnan Monser explained that he will also discuss economic cooperation and security issues. The Arab Maghreb Union is made up of Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Morocco and Mauritania.

Marzouki visited Libya last month and hosted Algeria's President Abdelaziz Bouteflika and Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz when they attended the celebrations of the first anniversary of the Tunisian revolution.
